Weird Teaser Trailer for Fernando Meirelles’ Blindness

Fernando Meirelles’ new movie Blindness has released both a teaser trailer and an official website.  Those of you unfamiliar with Meirelles may be familiar with his previous film City of God.

This film is about an infection that’s spreading through a town (possibly the entire country/world) that causes blindness upon contracting it.  Julianne Moore plays the wife of a doctor (Mark Ruffalo) who finds herself immune to the disease while everyone around her is succumbing to it.  Danny Glover also apparently stars as the narrator and a character in the film.

While the trailer looks a bit on the creepy side, the story sounds appealing enough that my interest has been peaked.  What do you guys think?

  • I don't know, that trailer didn't really do anything for me. While watching the trailer two movies came to mind - The Eye and I Am Legend. Which both of those I ended up being disappointed with the ending. I don't see this one being any better.
