Sounding Board: Pathology

In reading a post on FirstShowing today, I was reminded of the forum topic that was on IHM a few weeks ago about the red band trailer posted for Pathology. This trailer, unlike most red bands, made the film seem less interesting and more porn like in comparison to the first trailers released (green band ones that is) for Pathology.
Now, it’s been some time since that red band has been released and some other trailers have been released from the film as well as the trickling beginning of some reviews of the film from some of the major film blogs (who were lucky enough to be flown out for an early screening).
Personally, I enjoy Milo Ventimiglia as an actor. Although, my enjoyment comes completely from Heroes and should be erased after witnessing his production and acting abilities in the MTV/American Eagle short series Its a Mall World. The directors of Pathology however are the same people that brought us the action packed film Crank. Looking at the story of Crank, it’s hard to expect much from Pathology even if the plot and story sound as if they have enough to stay afloat, so I’m confused on how to feel about the movie. If you had asked me if I had been interested in the film after previewing the first few trailers I would have said I was very interested. Now, after the red band’s release, it’s dwindled quite a bit.
Essentially I’d like to hear how you all feel about this movie and your interest levels in it. Did you like it more, less or about the same after the red band? For those of you who have seen Crank, do you think this film will be something better?
