Corey Feldman’s Still Relevant? aka This Week in Movies 4/23/08
Some of you may know this piece as “This Week in Movies” or you may kindly refer to it as “Shit We Missed”. Regardless, I’m here to bring you up to date on stuff that happened the past week that we didn’t write posts about. Enjoy.
It looks as if Will Ferrell should be thankful he’s alive after wrestling with a bear for the film Semi-Pro. Yesterday, the bear that starred in the film, attacked and killed it’s trainer Stephan Miller. While the bear seemed obediant and was not thought of as a threat, the bear mauled Stephan’s throat and created injuries that later killed him. Peter at /Film posted the new cover art for Lost Boys: The Tribe. For those who are still lingering Corey Feldman fans, maybe you’ll be interested in this. For those who aren’t, laugh with disdain.
First Showing put up the new poster for Wanted. It looks almost as if taken from a cellphone camera or a really shoddy digital camera, but I think that’s just the style of the poster. I guess the real question is who cares when the movie’s about people that can bend bullets…
Along with the Wanted poster, Film School Rejects posted the new poster from Hellboy II. Both were released during NY’s Comic Con. Neither poster will probably get released as official ones for the film, they’re just Comic Con promos.
/Film posted like 80 bajillion pics of Speed Racer. Well, in truth 80 bajillion is pretty huge, but it’s l
ike 35, give or take a few. And, to top it all off, they all get supersized if you click them. I know how much you like that. Also, no matter what people say about this, I’m excited for it.
Cinematical’s Elisabeth Rappe wants to know what makes nudity so uncomfortable to some people. Oddly enough, when I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall and litlte Segel popped up on the screen (over and over) some guys in the crowd gagged as if they’ve never seen one. Still an interesting look at people and their reactions to uncomfortable subjects.
While not being completely movie related, I’ll leave you with the video (that will probably be removed ASAP) of GTA IV. It’s apparently a tester or developer’s filming of them playing the game. Watch the embed below.
