Iron Man 2 Hinges on Iron Man’s Box Office Debut
While the first Iron Man hasn’t released yet (only a few hours left for the East Coast folks), we’re already getting word that a Iron Man 2 could be in the works. At the official Hollywood premiere of the film, CBS executive Sumner Redstone and Paramount’s CEO Brad Grey let Entertainment Tonight know that if Iron Man sells as well as predicted, they’ll greenlight a sequel for the summer of 2010. From the sounds of it, everything is just hinging on this weekend as Robert Downey Jr.’s trainer also made mention that he could have Downey ready to go and in the Iron Man suit in around 5 months time. So, here’s to an Iron Man sequel.
