Trailer: The Rocker starring Rainn Wilson
Rainn Wilson lately has been the small part comedy king. You may have caught him on The Office (as Dwight) or maybe you laughed at his hilarious pharmacist role in Juno. Either way, chances are you know that Rainn’s a funny guy.
In his first big screen starring role debut, Wilson will star as Robert ‘Fish’ Fishman in the August 1st release The Rocker. Fishman, who’s a washed up 80’s drummer, has nothing going for his life. Then, when his nephew’s band is in sudden need of a drummer for the prom, they ask Fish to play that night with them. Suddenly, their band becomes a success and Fish and Co. begin on a rock journey as they rise to stardom.
Watching that trailer, I giggled to myself at quite a few parts. I’m curious as to how Wilson will hold up in a starring role, but it appears this is going to be a solid comedy from the trailer. I guess we’ll have to see when The Rocker releases on August 1st.
