National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets - 6.5/10 - Trailer
A missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth shows up and implicates Ben’s (Nicolas Cage) great-great grandfather in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Ben, along with family and friends, must unravel a series of clues around the world in order to clear his family name. This sequel to National Treasure is a decent follow up. I’d say it’s on par with the original and for those who enjoyed the original will enjoy the sequel.

Strange Wilderness - N/A - Trailer
Animal enthusiasts and wildlife television hosts Peter (Steve Zahn) and Fred (Allen Covert) are in search of Big Foot in order to save their show from cancellation. This so called comedy did very very poorly with critics and currently has a 0% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes (the lowest I’ve ever seen for a film) and less than half of the public enjoyed the film. From all this I would recommend skipping this movie.

The Air I Breathe - 8.5/10 - Trailer
This film’s concept is based on the Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotions, Happiness, Pleasure, Sorrow and Love. Each of the main characters (Forest Whitaker, Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Kevin Bacon) are based on one of the four emotions, but just as human existence, all four are linked together. The concept sounds interesting but it didn’t seem to fly with critics who don’t seem to understand what the overall point of the film was, although our friends at IHM seem to disagree.

My Rentals:

I would have rented National Treasure 2 but I saw it on a recent flight. So I won’t be renting anything this week.

Are you heading out to grab a new rental this week? Are you getting bored with the lack of decent movie releases over the past month?
