Rambo - 6.9/10 - Trailer
Sylvester Stallone returns as John Rambo in this fourth installment of the series.  A group of missionaries ask for Rambo to take them up river to Burma on a humanitarian mission, to which Rambo refuses…at first.  Soon Rambo is killing everyone on their way into Burma which in the end of the film it totals a staggering 262 kills, an average of 3.2 a minute, more than the previous three films combined.  Eventually the missionaries are captured and it’s up to Rambo to save them.  But who cares about the plot, we all know this is just about Rambo killing lots and lots of people for no necessary reason.  This is definitely a film for the men and the unfortunate women who get tricked into watching it with their significant other.

Grace is Gone - N/A - Trailer
John Cusack plays a father whose wife is killed in the Iraq war and he decides to take his two daughters on a road trip to help them through this tragic loss.  The film won two Sundace film awards for the Audience Award and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award.  The critics have generally given the film good reviews and should be a pretty decent rental.  The film doesn’t try and be political and discuss the war, instead it looks at how the death of a parent affects the family.  This is probably the film that the ladies will be picking up this week.

My Rentals:

Rambo - come on, mindless violence?  This is definitly a guy’s action flick and I’m a guy, so I’ll be picking this up.

So what is it this week, violence or tragedy?
