General Admission - June 27th, 2008
Opening this week: June 27th, 2008
WALL-E - Trailer - Starring Sigourney Weaver, Fred Willard, Ben Burtt, John Ratzenberger
One of the most anticipated films from Pixar is releasing this week and from the early reviews I’m thinking everyone is going to want to see this one. The plot of this film is that all humans have left earth because we made it uninhabitable, so we left behind millions of robots to clean up our mess. Unfortunately all of the robots failed except for one, WALL-E. After a long time of being alone, WALL-E is greeted by EVE, a robot that has come back to earth to discover if the planet is once again habitable. WALL-E soon falls in love with EVE and sets off on an epic journey to be with her. Once again Pixar will being showing off it’s amazing animation and story telling abilities in a film for all ages. This will be the definite money maker for this week and for months to come, don’t forget to catch it.
Wanted - Trailer - Starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman
This film is about a secret fraternity of assassins that help keep the world in check. Our main character Wesley (James McAvoy) is your average cubicle dweller, living out an average and sometimes boring day to day life. This changes when he is contacted by the Fraternity through Fox (Angelina Jolie), who tell him that his now dead father was an assassin and that they will train him to avenge his father’s death. This movie is full of over the top and unrealistic action, such as curving bullets and being able to shoot the wings off of flies. But this should be an overall good and exciting film that will make you try your best Keanu Reeves and say “whoa”. If your up for a big action flick than you’ll probably want to check this one out.
What I Plan on Seeing:
Wall-E - I’ve been waiting a long time to see this. Ever since the teaser came out I’ve been counting down the days until the release of the film. Plus Pixar always puts out great films.
Wanted - Although the trailers have made the film look crazy unrealistic and over the top, I think that’s exactly the type of action movie I’ve been waiting for. Also Morgan Freeman is the shit.
What do you plan on seeing this weekend? Robots or Guns?
