Terminator Salvation Teaser
The first teaser for the upcoming Terminator Salvation film starring Christian Bale (as John Conner, not the Terminator) just got published to the web. It was already reported that if you were attending screenings for The Dark Knight that you would be treated to this teaser along with a teaser for The Watchmen (unless you we’re viewing the film in IMAX). Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a Terminator whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind.
What do you think of the teaser? Are you excited to see Christian Bale take over another franchise? I’m hoping he can give the series a nudge back in the right direction. I loved T2 and I enjoyed the first film, but the third film was not so good. And for those who enjoy a little TV, The Sarah Conner Chronicles are doing pretty well, and has me looking forward to the second season. I’m glad that the series is finally moving towards the great war that all the other films allude to.
