Pics: Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler
Thanks to /Film, we’ve been able to get a bunch of pics out from Darren Aronofsky’s (Requiem for a Dream, Pi, The Fountain) newest film The Wrestler. The film stars Mickey Rourke as Randy ‘The Ram’ Robinson an old and beat up wrestler who’s attempting to make a living wrestling on the independent circuit. Told by doctors that he could die if he continues to wrestle, Robinson must decide if he’s going to continue on.
If you’re really interested in seeing the film, it will be showing at a couple of festivals, but has yet to find a distributor to allow it a big screen release. I’d like to see it, but I’m not going to be at Toronto International or anything anytime soon, so I’ll be waiting. Let me know what you think of the pics below.
