W. : Anyone Can Be President on a Billboard

So as part of a big promotion for Oliver Stone’s W., Lionsgate has been putting up billboards and signs that include their new posters all around Denver.  The signs feature Josh Brolin (as Bush jr.) in various incompetent looking roles.  Both have demeaning text leading you to easily know what kind of film to expect (the billboard says “Anyone can grow up to be president”).  The important part in all of this though, is that Denver is also known as the home to the Democratic National Convention this month.  Sounds to me like Lionsgate is aiming right at the target audience by posting them all around areas surrounding the convention.  Beyond the billboard above, we’ve included the two new posters for the film below.

Let us know what you think.

Directed by Oliver Stone and written by Stanley Weiser, W., is actually the second pairing from this writer/director duo.  Their first film together was 1987’s Wall Street.  W. is set for a limited U.S. release on October 17th and possibly a wider one sometime later in the fall or early winter.  You can find a gallery of previously posted pics from the film here.
