Hellboy II: The Golden Army An Early Look
Universal Studios Home Video have announced two Blu-ray releases for Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Hellboy II: The Golden Army.’ Universal has also unearthed some ‘hellish’ details on their forthcoming US Blu-ray Disc releases even though a date has not been forthcoming (various markets are predicting November 18th) buyers can expect a 2-Disc Special Edition ($39.98 SRP) and 3-Disc Collector’s Edition ($64.98 SRP) versions.
The Special Edition boasts over three hours of bonus content, a digital copy of the film and Blu-ray exclusive – BD Live, which features including a Comic Book Builder that lets you pick images from the movie, add your own captions and then share the final result online. The Special Edition will also feature collectible packaging available for a limited time only.
The 3-Disc Collector’s Edition contains contents of Special Edition plus a Limited Edition Golden Army Statue and excerpts from the journal of Guillermo Del Toro.
There are more specifics to follow, but here is a photo of the sweet 3-Disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray set. Now there’s still hope they’ll add a sing-along video for Abe and Hellboy’s rendition of ‘Can’t Smile Without You!’
