Cool Stuff: The Joker is Twittering

Apparently the internet access at Arkham is great as The Joker is now apparently using a Twitter account to communicate with around 1,100 followers.  Twitter is a communication network that allows you to subscribe to people of interest to you and see the updates they post to the site about what they’re doing or their thoughts.  It has yet to be determined if it’s a way to announce an early DVD release (please, please, please), a plug for an upcoming show or just a rabid fan.  The TV show one seems the most obvious choice for everyone due to a recent tweet that said “Oooooh everyone is so bold and brave while I’m locked up in Arkham. You’ll be singing a different tune once I’ve secured my early release.”  Batman: The Brave And The Bold happens to be a new Cartoon Network show that’s airing starting November 14th.  The only odd thing is that the icon for the account is, of course, from Heath Ledger’s portrayal of Joker in The Dark Knight.

While I don’t know exactly what is behind this, I do know is that it is enjoyable and fun to read and see this version of Joker’s interactions with people.  We’ll have to see what progresses with this as time goes by, but until we know, at least we’re having fun.  You can follow the Joker yourself by checking out his twitter page.  I’ve also included a snapshot of the page below for those who aren’t inclined to using Twitter but want to check out what all this is about.

Also, if you’re a fan of us, feel free to check out our Twitter page (which is just slightly less popular than the Joker’s).

  • Same here! This is such a good tribute to the late Heath Ledger, who gave superb justice to the twisedly amusing character of the Joker!
