Pics: Frank Miller’s The Spirit
Frank Miller’s The Spirit is a graphic novel adaptation that isn’t getting sued and should arrive right on time (and it is set to arrive in theaters first), yet all anyone wants to talk about is Watchmen. That could be mostly because The Spirit has looked like Sin City (also partly directed by Frank Miller) with different characters so far and had a terrible showing at Comic Con this year. Personally, and I’ll lose any geek-cred I had when I say this, I’ve never read either graphic novel (although I started Watchmen recently), so I don’t have the fanboy aspect down between the two. Both seem interesting to me, but Watchmen, as everyone has said, has drawn me even more. But, if that gets delayed due to its current impending lawsuit, we can just keep rewatching The Spirit. The Spirit releases on Christmas day of this year.
