Posters: Valkyrie, Synecdoche, New York and City of Ember

Instead of making an individual post for each of these, I’m just going to quickly lump the posters that were released today for Valkyrie, Synechdoche, New York and City of Ember together into one massive post.  Well it’s not really all that massive considering it’s only a few images, but I’m sure someone thinks it’s pretty big (silly dial up readers).  It’s all about perspective…or something.  Anyway, check out the posters and let me know what you think in the comments below.

Valkyrie

A proud military man, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is a loyal officer who serves his country all the while hoping that someone will find a way to stop Hitler before Europe and Germany are destroyed. Realizing that time is running out, he decides that he must take action himself and joins the German resistance. Armed with a cunning strategy to use Hitler’s own emergency plan – known as Operation Valkyrie – these men plot to assassinate the dictator and overthrow his Nazi government from the inside.

Synecdoche, New York

A theater director (Hoffman) struggles with his work, and the women in his life, as he attempts to create a life-size replica of New York inside a warehouse as part of his new play.

City of Ember

For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights. But Ember’s once powerful generator is failing … and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. Now, two teenagers in a race against time, must search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city’s existence, and help the citizens escape before the lights go out forever.
