Trailer: Oliver Stone’s W. Theatrical Trailer

A new theatrical trailer has been released for Oliver Stone’s W. It actually looks a lot better than any of the teasers I’ve seen before this release and it really (I know I said this for the teaser) sets the tone for the film.  If you don’t believe me, look at juxtaposition of the music with a confused and overwhelmed W.  While a satirical comedy about the man who has had control of this government for the past eight years may be enjoyable, the results still exist.  Maybe there will be some time soon when the banks aren’t all going under and we aren’t all afraid of losing our jobs or homes that we’ll be able to look back and laugh.  Until then, you’ll be able to catch W. in theaters when it starts its limited release on October 17th.  Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think.

Directed by Oliver Stone and written by Stanley Weiser, W., is actually the second pairing from this writer/director duo.  Their first film together was 1987’s Wall Street.  W. is set for a limited U.S. release on October 17th and possibly a wider one sometime later in the fall or early winter.  You can find a gallery of previously posted pics from the film here.
