Streaming Free: Crawford - George W. Bush Related Documentary

Before Oliver Stone decided to put together his movie W., there was a group of filmmakers working on a film called Crawford. This film decided to focus on filming what happened in a little town called Crawford when one of the most recognizable men in the United States, George W. Bush, moved into town. And, it just so happens that this film is getting an e-release thanks to Hulu. So, if you haven’t already had your fill of U.S. politics up to here, catch the full plot and the embedded film after the jump. (The film is being hosted on Hulu, so, of course, this is a U.S. only thing. Sorry international readers :(. But we doubt you want to see a movie about our great president anyway.)
In 1999, then Governor George W. Bush bought a ranch in the one-stoplight town of Crawford, Texas, calling it “home” just in time to set his sights on the White House. Having invented Bush’s “folksy image,” the campaign’s victory thrusts Crawford onto the world stage and an insular community of barely 700 explodes overnight.
Now comes CRAWFORD, an often funny, deeply human story told by unforgettable characters. As witness to one man’s (and his spin doctor’s) decision to intertwine his life with the real small town America, the film ultimately becomes a microcosm of a nation in flux — a unique and poignant reflection on the Bush era.
