Discuss: How Are We Doing So Far?

As a blog we’re only as good as the people that read us, so I’d like to take a second and thank you all.  But, at the same time, if we want to get better, we’ll probably need some outside feedback.  So that’s what we’re doing here.  We’ve got a few simple questions for you, to help us provide better reading to you.  If you’ve got suggestions, comments, ideas or complaints get voicing them, because we’re not always this nice.  Catch the different questions we’re posin’ after the jump.

Answer any, all or none (like we expect you slackers to do any work) of these questions:

- What kind of posts do you like that we currently do?

- Is there a film or genre we don’t cover enough?

- Is there a type of post (trailers, pics, news, clips) that you’d like to see more of?

- What can we do to be better?

- What do you like the least about us?

- What do you like the best about us?

So there it is.  About as easy as a fifth grade math exam (which I’m still failing…le sigh).  Now it’s your turn to let us have it.  Just be gentle.  OK?

It's a pretty simple answer from me. I read the posts about movies I think I'll like. Doesn't matter what the content is. I don't keep tabs on other movie blogs, so I have nothing to compare with. No complaints though.
  • How do you know if you'll like a movie before you read the post though :)?

Good point... I check apple.com/quicktime about once a month for trailers. I like how they are all "Mashed" together. I have another site that lists names of movies, I just click on the one's with cool names and hope for the best.

Don't know if that is any help for a blog, but that's usually how I find hidden gems. Maybe in addition to the blockbusters that are typically featured here, you could do some commentary on ones that probably won't do well at the box office but have some potential for a "cult" following. Some movie houses thrive on these, so I think they may be more popular than people give them credit for.
