More Dark Knight Collector’s Sets

It looks like everyone is going all out for the the Dark Knight release (which releases Dec 9th, just in time for the holidays.)  So we already know about the Batpod Collector’s Blu-ray set and the normal DVD sets. Now we have some information of a couple more releases, including one with a bank robbery Joker’s mask.  (Unfortunately it is a scale model and not actually wearable, however this one is.)

Best Buy will be releasing a Collector’s set both in DVD and Blu-ray format that includes a scale model of the mask that the Joker wore in the opening scene during the bank robbery.  Other than that nothing else special comes with the set.

Next we have the Steelbook version of the DVD and Blu-ray case which looks pretty cool because you get both covers (one on the front and one on the back).  This will be available at Futureshop (Canada) and FYE (USA).

Walmart will be selling a gift set for all you believers in Harvey Dent.  The two-disc dvd will feature an exlusive comic book plus a collectible coin.  Yup, it’s Harvey Dent’s luck coin.

So with all these new choices, which version are you going to pick up?

    great blog and article
  • Great Movie. Heat Ledger got oscar for it.
  • I loved the movie. The joker was just wonderful.
  • This film, though Ledger's last only placed him higher in the most notable acting pedestals. And with the success of this film thanks to his twisted justification of the Joker, he will never be forgotten.
  • Nice collection, isn't that the mask that the Joker used in the opening bank robbery scene? Cool!

FTA: "The .safe domain would certainly help in these cases as users would know that any other domain is to be considered unsafe."Why does .safe mean that other domains are therefore unsafe? This is yet another symptomic relief arms race similar to EV certs. Basically blackmailing financial institutions into paying for the validation that SSL cert issuers should already be www.chase.com doing anyway does not help consumers. Next announcement will be that the browser bar will turn rainbow-colored and you will get a free pony when you visit a .safe site with an EV cert.
