She invites all three to the wedding without telling her mother, Donna, who was once the lead singer of Donna and the Dynamos. In the meantime, Donna has invited her backup singers, Rosie and Tanya.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor – 4.9/10 - Trailer

Centuries ago, the evil Emperor Han was cursed with his army by the sorceress Zi Juan and transformed into a mummy. In 1946, the explorer Rick O’Connell and his wife Evelyn O’Connell are invited by the British government to take the relic The Eye of Shangri-La to China. The ancient stone is capable to resurrect the Emperor Han and to point the way to Shangri-la and give eternal life to Han. When the couple reaches China, they meet their son Alex O’Connell, who has discovered the tomb of Han, and Evelyn’s brother Jonathan Carnahan in his night-club. However, they are betrayed by their friend Prof. Roger Wilson, who is associated to General Yang that wants to serve Emperor Han. He resurrects the mummy and the guardian of the tomb and Zi’s daughter Lin tells them that the only way to destroy Han is avoiding that he reaches Shangri-la and stabbing his heart with a dagger cursed by her mother. They travel to the Himalaya in the beginning of another adventure of Rick and his family.

After an experimental bio-nerve gas is accidentally released at a remote U.S. military base in Texas, those exposed to the gas turn into flesh-eating, mutating zombies out to kill. An assortment of various people who include stripper Cherry, her shady mechanic ex-boyfriend Wray, a strong-willed doctor, the local sheriff, and an assortment of various people must join forces to survive the night as the so-called “sickos” threaten to take over the whole town and the world.
Recommendation: Buy
Death Proof (Blu-ray) – 7.3/10
Starring Kurt Russell, Zoe Bell, Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, Sydney Poitier, Tracie Thomas, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rose McGowan, Marley Shelton, Marcy Harriell
Stuntman Mike is a former Hollywood stunt race car driver who targets and kills women with his “death-proof” stunt car. In Act I, Mike surfaces in Austin, Texas to target a group of women whom he knows; Jungle Julia an outgoing, dope-smoking, radio DJ/fashion model meeting her old school friends for a night on the town whom are sentimental model Arlene, and local bad-girl Shanna, as well as bar-nut hippie Pam who tries to make Mike notice her, unaware of his sociopath and misogynist tendencies. In Act II, Stuntman Mike surfaces in Tennessee where he randomly picks another another group of women to stalk all of whom work in the motion picture business; Abernathy is a make-up girl and stand-in wanting a change of pace in her life. Lee is a naive B-movie actress. Kim is a tough-minded stunt woman always wanting action. And Zoe is a fellow stunt woman from New Zealand visiting her friends. However, the second set of girls proves more though to get, and because of a combination of bad luck and Stuntman Mike’s carelessness, the girls decide to turn the tables on their tormentor for revenge of their own.
Recommendation: Buy
The Unrated Blogger’s Cut
There aren’t many new releases this week, it looks like they are saving them up until they get closer to Christmas. Which makes for an interesting week coming up because there will be some DVDs releasing this Friday and Sunday. I’ll have another Holiday post this Friday for the special day releases.
