Jamal, who has no education and works in a call center serving tea, is close to wining twenty million rupees in the show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” hosted by Prem Kumar, giving precise answers to the questions and raising suspicion of fraud. The police inspector shows the videotape and after each question, Jamal tells parts of his childhood with his brother Salim, his crush for Latika and their fight to survive on the streets to justify each correct answer, guided by his common sense and past experience, and prove his innocence.

Marley’s antics give John rich material for his newspaper column. As the Grogans mature and have children of their own, Marley continues to test everyone’s patience by acting like the world’s most impulsive dog.

The ship encounters a tiny meteor storm and crash lands on a barren planet with only 1/4 of its complement surviving. Survival is tough with Riddick on the loose and no water in sight. However, come nightfall, they have even more to fear.

Judi Dench is Aereon, an ambassador from the Elemental race. She is an ethereal being who helps Riddick unearth his origins.

The Unrated Blogger’s Cut

So what are you looking for this week?  If you want a great quality movie, then you will want to pick up Slumdog Millionaire.  It wasn’t luck that got it that Best Picture win.  Now if you want a mystery twist film then you’ll want to pick up Will Smith’s latest film, Seven Pounds.  And now if have or have ever had a pet dog, then you will probably want to pick up Marley & Me, plus a box of tissues.  And now if you own a Blu-ray player and want some fun scifi (not syfy) action, then you’ll want to pick up Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick.

  • Ok, great movie list. Seven Pounds is a very interesting movie, at first it is very misleading and boring, in the end it sums it out very well. Slumdog I first thought was based on a true story but it wasn't, the uniqueness of the film and the directorn really earned all the awards it won. Marley and me, was not that sad although my wife did cry when marley died.
  • Slum dog millionaire is my favorite any day, i would like to add it to my collections, thanks for the post, I appreciate it.
