Writer Peter Morgan’s legendary battle between Richard Nixon, the disgraced president with a legacy to save, and David Frost, a jet-setting television personality with a name to make, in the story of the historic encounter that changed both their lives. For three years after being forced from office, Nixon remained silent. But in summer 1977, the steely, cunning former commander-in-chief agreed to sit for one all-inclusive interview to confront the questions of his time in office and the Watergate scandal that ended his presidency. Nixon surprised everyone in selecting Frost as his televised confessor, intending to easily outfox the breezy British showman and secure a place in the hearts and minds of Americans (as well as a $600,000 fee). Likewise, Frost’s team harbored doubts about their boss’ ability to hold his own. But as cameras rolled, a charged battle of wits resulted.

The Unrated Blogger’s Cut

I watched The Wrestler and loved it, but this release is seriously lacking in the special features so I think I’ll wait for the inevitable “collector’s edition”.  But if you haven’t seen it, you should definitely rent it.  And if you’re a Blu-ray owner, then you should probably pick up the X-Men Trilogy and Sin City.  So this week it looks like that if I do end up renting something, then I will rent Frost/Nixon.

  • The wrestler is one of the amazing movies I had watch well it is really an interesting movie
  • Yeah. I watched X-men Wolverine too, the unedited version spoiled the true movie plot.
  • The movie Wolverine is also good, but too bad they had that movie leak problem that hit the web with unedited and unfinished movie effects. It basically ruins the movie plot but still it is worth watching the original.
  • Well said, it basically ruins the excitement of the movie, but if you're an avid fan then it's really up to you to watch the leak video or not. In my case I did not watched it. And still enjoy the official released movie.
  • My friend showed my the leaked video but I still watched the movie when it first released. I still love it but the excitement is just gone.
  • The Wrestler is a fantastic emotional movie that I look forward to seeing again because I was really sick when I first saw it and it kind of ruined it for me.
