Star Trek Movie News: The Next Generation

Yesterday we brought you some gorgeous production photos from Star Trek.  Today, the Maquis has slipped some long awaited plot details from Cardassia to Entertainment Weekly.  Most of us were curious about how everything in this movie was going to fit together, and now it makes some sense.  I’m highly suspicious of time-travel plots, because [...]

Woka Woka, A Darker Muppet Movie In the Works?

Let’s be honest, when you’re drunk, Muppets From Space is a cinematic masterpiece.  It makes you get very philosophical. ”Do Muppets know they aren’t real? Does Kermit think he’s a biologically genuine frog? Why would Ms. Piggy be attracted to another species?  Sure it’s just pigs and frogs now, but what’s next, gay marriage?”

Pics: Star Trek

If you care anything about the franchise, you’re betting a few bars of gold-pressed Latinum on whether Star Trek will be totally awesome or a complete disaster when it hits theatres on Stardate 5.8.2009.
Despite that, production stills from the newest J.J. Abrams installment have hit the web from Entertainment Weekly, MTV, and IGN.

What do you [...]

Lists: Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto

To honor the upcoming release of the new Pixar film, Wall-E, I thought I’d take a trip with Luke Skywalker and drag some of my favorite movie robots from the Jawa scrapheap. They may be steel and wire, but they can sure warm our hearts.

1. Halloween - After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, escapes [...]

Movies That Ruin The Perfect Date

Dinner, dancing, and then back to your place. It’s time to cuddle up and make your move. You definitely don’t want to send that special someone the wrong message. What movie should you pop in? Not one of these, to be sure:

1. Hellraiser - An unfaithful wife encounters the zombie of her dead [...]

Movies That You Wish Were “April Fools” Jokes

One of my favorite things about going to the movies is seeing the Coming Attractions beforehand. I don’t really know why, but I always feel ripped off if I get in late and miss a preview. Along those lines, I think many of us have been sitting in said theaters, and have come [...]

If you’re on this site, you probably watch movies. And sometimes, otherwise entertaining movies for you and and the PG-13 crowd have some somewhat misguided ideas about the world:

Moral Lesson - Parents and [...]

Movies With Important Lessons On Love

If you’re like me, you have no problems finding a date on Friday night. However, if you need that extra help, here are some films that can teach you valuable lessons about what and what not to do:
1. Silence of the Lambs: A young FBI cadet must confide in an incarcerated and manipulative [...]

No matter how many times I watch these movies, I cry every single damn time. Here’s the list, in no particular order, and the moment in the movie that makes me sob like Sally Field (”and no one will tell me WHYY!!”)
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
1. Angels In America - Playwright Tony Kushner adapts his [...]
